Malaysia :If marriages are made in heaven then surely honeymoons should happen at a place good enough to be thought of as heaven. And in this list of top five honeymoon destinations we look at divine places from Asia which attract couples looking for the ideal honeymoon spot. When looking at honeymoon destinations one
considers not only factors like beauty of the place but also the facilities available there as well as the safety and comfort levels of the resorts. And Asia, being the largest continent has many such places worthy of being in this list but we only consider the best five. Here they are:
Thailand
These islands are tailor-made for happy honeymooning. They are exceedingly beautiful places because Thailand has lot of coastal areas and these are all occupied by excellent resorts where every earthly comfort is taken care of by the dedicated staff. A typical day in one of these resorts would consist of living right on the sands in a beach house overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Andaman Sea. There are also well-apportioned hillside and clifftop villa suites for those who don’t prefer being close to the waters. Once you’ve had a restful night’s sleep, you would head down to the spas where professional masseurs would attend to both of you. With scented oils and skilled hands,
they would leave you in a relaxed state with their massages. Once this is done, you can take a refreshing bath and head for breakfast. Wholesome seafood seared with Asian spices is the style of cooking here. The food is as exotic as the place. The relaxed ambience, stunning surrounding, great facilities and wonderful people and food make Thailand one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world.
Kerala, India
Located in the southern part of the Indian subcontinent, Kerala has been making waves for the past few decades in the international arena for being a top tourist spot. Kerala is a southern state and has been attracting visitors from all over the world. It is nicknamed ‘God’s owned country’ and what better place to take your newly married wife or husband than to such an aptly named paradise. It is so named because of the lush green you will find everywhere in this place. The beautiful natural surroundings are interspersed with canals
and waterways which are used even today as means of transport. Renting out a boathouse for a few days is the best thing you can do here. Kerala is known for its great mild food spiced with Indian spices and coconut. This coupled with the friendly people and tourist friendly government make Kerala a honeymooners ideal retreat indeed.
Singapore
Singapore is a great place to go to if you are looking for a more modern alternative to spend your honeymoon. It has everything. Being a melting pot of cultures, you get to see people from multiple cultures gathering here and this means a lot of benefits like a colorful set of cultures, great cuisine and even better night life since Singapore is such a bustling city as well. The streets are busy through the night and you can get sumptuous street food or be served in one of the many five star hotels which Singapore boasts of. Hospitality knows no bounds here and being honeymooners you will enjoy the attention lavished on both of you. There are plenty of sights and places to have a lot of fun
like Sentosa island, Singapore zoo, Night Safari among many others. There are also various options for those who want to try only western food.
Maldives
These islands are pristine and divine and will be the ideal getaway if you yearn for a quiet and peaceful honeymoon punctuated only by visits to the spa and a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. These islands are really idyllic and are ideally suited for being on your honeymoon list. Imagine yourself and your loved one resting on a wooden hammock in the shade of a few palm trees right on the beach sipping on a Pina Colada and making plans. Since this place is remote, you will have a lot of privacy as well. Besides this, the presence of numerous luxury resorts and great outdoor activities make this a smashing choice for your honeymoon.
Japan
This ultra modern nation is also a paradise when it comes to natural beauty and it has everything you would expect from a island resort but it also has the great convenience of being a modern nation. Being an archipelago of 6,852 islands you can choose to your heart’s content about the islands you are going to visit with her or him. There is plenty of culture which you can enjoy with 16 sites declared to be in the world heritage site list. The beautiful Mount Fuji offers you a breathtaking view and plenty of activities while ski resorts like Niseko in Hokkaido help you have more fun. There are temples and shrines you could take a tour of in the Kanto region in Nikko, while you could retire to Ishigaki island in Okinawa for a well deserved few days of complete fun and rest with your significant other. It has everything you could want as a couple.
You’ve seen what Asia has to offer the adventurous honeymooner. Now all you need to do is book your tickets and embark on a beautiful journey that marks a new life for both of you. All the best.

Dubai
The earliest mention of Dubai is in 1095, and the earliest settlement known as
Dubai town dates from 1799. Dubai was formally established in 1833 by Sheikh Maktoum bin Buti al Maktoum when he persuaded 800 members of the Bani Yas tribe, living in what is now part of Saudi Arabia, to follow him to the Dubai Creek by the Al Abu Falasa clan of Bani Yas. It remained under clan control when the United Kingdom assumed the protection of Dubai in 1892. Its geographical location made it an important trading hub and by the beginning of the 20th century, it was an important port.
Today, Dubai City has emerged as a global city and a business hub. Although Dubai’s economy was built on the oil industry, the emirate’s model of business drives its economy, with the effect that its main revenues are now from tourism, real estate, and financial services, similar to that of Western countries. Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and sports events. This increased attention has highlighted labour rights and human rights issues concerning its largely South Asian workforce. Dubai’s property market experienced a major deterioration in 2008 and 2009 as a result of the worldwide economic downturn following the financial crisis of 2007–2012. However, Dubai made a steady and gradual recovery. As of 2012, Dubai is the 22nd most expensive city in the world, surpassing London (25th) and is the most expensive city in the Middle East, surpassing Tel Aviv (31st). Mercer rated Dubai as the best place to live in the Middle East.
